oh my god. last night, the night before. ugh. scariest/happiest/saddest 24 hours ever. this will be long, but read on if you would like ~
our last memories all together here. Felipe was the one holding us together. I never thought the day would actually come when we had to say goodbye. We all BAWLED for three hours, three. EVERYONE…even Max and Tanguy…
It’s going to be really hard without our group of six. They ditch their friends to be with us, and we ditch ours; because being with Tina, Tanguy, Felipe, Kasi, Kennidy, and I, is more important that anything else in the world because we just get to be together. And although our group is deteriorating I know nothing will ever break our love for each other. especially if we wear our anklets :)
this is just the beginning of the goodbyes, but it’s was the hardest because it was the last time we were all together <3
our last weekend together:
Friday:
went to the cabin/campground area and just hung out and were ourselves. the cabin was probably one of the scariest things since it was so old fashioned and just, creepy. no electricity, nothing. it was a place where a scary movie would be filmed. Well, when it got dark we went and told scary stories and sat in the cabin and it was possibly the worst/best experience…after that was done we sat and listened to dave play guitar..and before you knew it the tears came..but we left before it could get bad.
Saturday:
Tina got to graduate! haha the guy that sat behind Tanguy….oh my goodness. we spent the final day together and tried not to think about the night ahead. We made anklets based off the original (they all match) and we have to have them on in two years for Colombia…or well…we will get hurt. haha. When it got dark the tears fell from all our faces. I’ve never seen so many people crying for such a long time. (I was happy though because I made Tanguy cry) It was such a sad moment for all of us, but a happy one, because of the amazing year we had. When we dropped Tanguy and Felipe off we made Felipe give a speech and he said “I just wanted to say thank you, because when I came here all I wanted to do was leave, and then I met you guys and I was like…wow” He had to leave and go in the house because it was too overwhelming to stay with us..but we understood.
Felipe, you have made the biggest impact on my life. I will never forget you and the things you say, or the memories we made. Our tradition is fading on my hand but it is the best tradition I’ve ever had! You made this year perfect, and you and the other foreigners are fucking amazing.
Hey, this is one step closer to seeing you next year in Belgium, and before we know it, we will be there, all together :)
